Season 2001 / 2002"Look what you could achieve this year"
As the season unfolds what you do during both training sessions and in the matches you play will count towards your chances of being nominated for any one of the above awards. So if you would like to win one or more of the above awards here is what we are looking for and what you will have to do. · Sportsmanship Award: This will be awarded to the one player from both the Dragons and the Lions who in the opinion of both Roger and myself has consistently demonstrated the qualities of a true sportsman both on and off the field. · Coaches Award: This will be awarded to the player who in the opinion of those involved in the training of FC Crusaders, has consistently worked hard to improve their fitness and skills in all areas during training through out the season. Additionally each week a perpetual trophy will be awarded to the player who in the opinion of the training staff has worked the hardest and given their best. · Man of the Match Award: Each week Roger and myself will ask the opposition manager to nominate a man of the match. At the end of the season the player who has received the most man of the match nominations will receive this award. Additional each week we will present the perpetual trophy and a medal to the player who we believe should receive it. · Players Player Award: You the players decide this one by way of a secret ballet. At the end of the season you will be asked to nominate the player who you think is the best player because they have played consistently well and contributed most to the team in their skill, determination and ability. · Player of the Year Award: This award will be decided the supporters by way of a secret ballet. At the end of season those supporters who have attended at least half the league / league cup games played during the season will have the opportunity to nominate the player who you believe has played consistently well and contributed most to the team in their skill, determination and ability. · Managers Award: Roger and myself will award this trophy to the player who in our opinion has consistently tried hard and given their best. The player who has continually shown a great deal of determination, commitment and resolve to do well in both attitude and ability. · Most Improved Player Award:
This award will go to one player from each of the Dragons and the Lions
who in the opinion of the management team has made the most improvement
overall in both training and match play. · Penalty Shoot-out Competition: This year trophies will be awarded to first, second and third place players in the club penalty shoot out competition. · Soccer Skills Certificate: Each week players will be taught new skills and given valuable information about all aspect of playing football and training. In time you can earn points which will enable you to collect a total of five laminated certificates. Starting at One Star building up through the Two Star Award on to the Bronze Three Star Award, a Silver Four Star award and finally a Gold Five Star Award. Each certificate will be accompanied by a medal, with those who manage to obtain the gold award receiving the award at the presentation evening. · Club Trophy: Every player who has attended at least five training sessions and represented the club in at least one game will receive this award. So good luck and remember that its not the winning that is important but the taking part and being part of the team that counts - anything else is a bonus.
