Minutes of the
Club’s Annual General Meeting,
3 July, 2001

The
meeting, held at Dean and Maria Hollands’s house, 5 Bryony Way, Burpham,
commenced at 7.30 pm.
The Club obtained agreement from the Head
Teacher at Boxgrove School for its playing field, “The
Field of Dreams”, to be used for training and for home matches. Those attending the meeting approved the Articles of Association without amendment as the foundation of the Club’s activities. In its first two months of existence, the Club has had income from sponsorship, donations and membership registration fees. Expenditure has been the cost of league registration for two teams and of affiliating the Club to the Surrey Youth Football Assocation, which, in addition to being a requirement of joining the League, provides necessary insurance coverage for the Club.

Dean Hollands was elected by those at the meeting as Chairman of the Club. For the record, he also becomes a Management Committee Member automatically upon his appointment by the Management Committee as Team Manager, in accordance with Article 13 of the Articles of Association. See Minute 5.
The
Management Committee appointed Dean Hollands and Roger Smith as the
Club’s Team Managers. Dean will
also be responsible for coaching the boys at the Club. All officials and regular helpers will be subjected
to a child protection check in police records.
6. Fee structure
for 2001/2002 season
Membership/registration fee of £15.00
Training fee of
£ 2.00 per session attended
Match fee of
£ 1.00 per match played
Those attending the meeting agreed that
the Club should add to the three qualified first aiders and seek volunteers
to be trained at the Club’s expense.
It was agreed, pending the advancement of other ideas, that the Club should, if possible, hold a barbecue, a quiz night, a jumble sale, a Christmas party for the children and an end of season presentation evening.
